How does your wedding photography website score?
A gallery site can look perfect and still be unreadable to a search engine. Score yours on nine on-page checks in about ten seconds.
The nine checks
The same nine checks as the main scorer, with what each one means for wedding photographers.
- Title tag15 pts
Present and 30 to 60 characters.
Put the work and the place in the title. "Wedding Photographer" plus your city is searched for. "Home" is not.
- Meta description15 pts
Present and 120 to 155 characters.
- Mobile viewport15 pts
A viewport meta tag so phones render the page correctly.
- H1 heading10 pts
Exactly one, with real text.
- HTTPS10 pts
The page loads over a secure connection.
- Image alt text10 pts
At least 80% of images describe themselves.
Your portfolio is your product, and alt text is how a search engine reads it. Sixty unlabeled images are sixty pieces of work it cannot see.
- Structured data10 pts
Any schema.org JSON-LD block.
- Page weight10 pts
The page is under 3 MB.
Full resolution galleries are the usual culprit. This check fails over 3 MB, and a couple on venue wifi feels every megabyte of it.
- Contact affordance5 pts
A phone link, an email link, or a form.

Not an SEO tool’s opinion. We watch what they type, which vendors they open, and which sites they leave in four seconds. These nine checks are the ones that changed who got opened.
- 80,000+ searches a month
- 200M+ views
- 300,000+ followers
- 400+ Collective vendors
That is the audience your website is trying to reach. Your score says whether it can.
