Payments Terms
These Payments Terms supplement and form part of the WedStay LLC (Nevada) Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, these Payments Terms control solely with respect to payment processing, deposits, payouts, refunds, chargebacks, and related matters.
1. Payment Processing
Payments are processed by trusted third-party processors (e.g., Stripe) on behalf of WedStay. By submitting a booking request, deposit, subscription, or other payment through the Services, you authorize WedStay and its payment processors to charge your selected payment method for all amounts due, including fees, taxes, deposits, adjustments, damages, penalties, and chargebacks.
You agree to comply with all applicable card network rules and to provide accurate billing information. We may require additional identity or payment verification (e.g., KYC) and may refuse, cancel, or reverse transactions for fraud, risk, or legal reasons.
2. Authorizations, Holds & Deposits
By providing a payment method, you authorize pre-authorizations and temporary holds as disclosed during checkout. Hosts may require security deposits or damage deposits. WedStay may facilitate claims and charge the Guest's payment method for damages, excessive cleaning, rule violations, or other amounts owed under the Terms of Service and Listing rules.
3. Payouts to Hosts
WedStay may act as a limited payments collection agent for Hosts. Receipt of funds by WedStay from a Guest is deemed receipt by the Host. Payout timing is not guaranteed and may be delayed due to fraud checks, compliance reviews, chargebacks, or other risk controls. Payout methods and currencies depend on processor and region availability. Payouts may be offset by refunds, chargebacks, penalties, or amounts owed to WedStay or third parties.
4. Refunds, Adjustments & Cancellations
Refund eligibility is governed by the applicable Listing cancellation policy and the Terms of Service. In extraordinary circumstances (including force majeure), WedStay may, at its discretion, issue refunds or credits. Processing times vary by payment method and bank policies. Administrative or processing fees may apply to cancellations or changes.
5. Chargebacks & Recoveries
You are responsible for all chargebacks and related fees arising from your transactions. WedStay may recover any amounts owed by charging your payment method on file, by offsetting against payouts, by invoicing you, and through other lawful means. You agree to promptly provide information reasonably requested to investigate or contest chargebacks.
6. Currency, Conversion & Fees
Prices and payouts may be displayed or settled in different currencies. Currency conversion and foreign exchange fees may apply and are borne by you. Your bank or card issuer may charge additional fees. WedStay service fees and processor fees are disclosed at checkout or in your Account and are generally non-refundable unless required by law.
7. Taxes
Hosts and Vendors are responsible for determining and meeting their tax obligations. WedStay may provide tools to facilitate tax collection and remittance in certain jurisdictions, but such tools are provided for convenience only and do not constitute tax advice. You should consult a tax professional regarding your obligations.
8. Prohibited Transactions
You may not use the Services for any illegal activity, money laundering, financing of terrorism, or transactions prohibited by card networks, payment processors, or applicable law. WedStay may refuse, cancel, or reverse transactions, or suspend Accounts, to manage risk or comply with law.
9. Errors & Disputes
If you believe an error occurred with your payment or payout, contact us promptly at info@thewedstay.com. You must notify us within 60 days of the error or your claim may be limited. We will investigate and correct verified errors in accordance with applicable law.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These Payments Terms are governed by Nevada law. Disputes are subject to the arbitration agreement, class action waiver, and small claims carve-out described in the WedStay Terms of Service (Las Vegas, Nevada seat). By using the Services, you agree to those dispute resolution terms.
